I just bought a Rocky Doserless, and the 'metal rest' underneath the spout is more hindrance than help. Is this removable? i dont want to bugger the machine up that's all, but its absence would be great!

Squeeze the bars in a bit, then pull.

I leave this on when grinding into my portafilter, then pull it for morning drip, as I grind into my swiss gold.

Don't be afraid, it is built pretty tough.

while you are at it, take off the bean deflector, and pick up a 0.6/0.7 l click clack lid to replace the top hopper lid.  Once in place, it is easy to air flush the grinder chamber of unused grindes.  It pushes them out into use.

Enjoy.

Hey, Bob, where'd you buy your Click-Clack lid? I was in Target (Evanston) yesterday and couldn't find one.

Oh, and the easiest way to remove the PF holder on a Rocky DL?  Grab it to pull the grinder forward to knock out the grounds stuck in the chute. It'll come right out, because you don't want it to<g>.

Sandy, I got mine at Container Store, there is one in Chicago:
Phone
312/654-8450
Address
908 West North Avenue
Chicago, IL 60622

I think it is the 0.6L for $6.99.  But I have read that the 0.7 fits tighter.

Thanks! As luck would have it, I'm headed out that way (in the same hood: Sur La Table, BB& Beyond and Petco for my various errands tonight). Will pick up a couple of Click Clacks (and also some more of that awesome sea bass from Dick's Fish on Clybourn).
