Subject: No pressure and low temp for Livia

Hi there,,,,long time lurker, not much of a poster.....Until now....  I'm having a slight problem with my Livia 90 semi-auto.  I bought her through the Illy deal about 9 months ago.

Over the past two weeks I've noticed the pump taking longer to refill the boiler after drawing water from the tap.  Not a terribly long time, but longer than normal.  If I draw about eight ounces, the pump will run for maybe thirty seconds, whereas it used to run for maybe 10.  I'm not certain if this in linked to my big problem or not, just thought it may be.

As of yesterday I can't seem to get hot water from the group.  Normally when I flush a few ounces before a shot, I am rewarded with nice steaming, sputtering, scortching hot water.  Now I barely get a dribble of "hot to the touch" water, but no steam, no sputtering, no scortching.....  Of course, my shots now taste like crap, completely sour.   Also, I assume related, is the steam wand.  As soon as I open the wand, I get a small shot of water, then very weak steam, and the pressure guage drops to nil.  Oddly, I am able to get steaming hot water from the hot water tap.  So I know the machine is heating properly, just that something's gone haywire.

Of course, this is a Friday night, and I can't call anyone til Monday,,,so I'm SOL for the weekend.  And I just roasted up a half pound of green two days ago.......ughhhh

    Any thoughts?

Did you ever get your problems resolved? I am a recent Livia owner too and am interested!
