A bunch of us are hanging out by the street looking at dank's POS teal 4cyl mustang.  We're talking about the car, joking around, etc., then someone walks up and says "hey, conversation's over--you want to continue talking, do it inside your house" It's rude and egocentric.

Send him a knee-jerk email about how his competition does something better than he does.  He'll call you.  Trust me--he'll call you.

Heck, at least he doesn't dig up dirt on a competitor if you tell him that said competitor does something better than him! (LOL!). There are some out in the coffee world who do just that.

I'll take a phone call anyday from a vendor who wants to react (positively, I hope) to hearing that someone out there may be doing better than they are.

Barefoot was so much fun on Sunday...
I got to meet a lot of people I hadn't met before....

It was soo cool to meet Terry who I have know for a couple years now but never met....
It was a pure Geekfest .....

cool having Paradise Roasters owner Miguel and his wife there....

On the group head temp display....
there was a lot going on but the 3 degree scace I differential I was told seemed to hold true
I am not a huge numbers guy... but I did indulge in trying to see how I could use this GOLD standard tool in calibration to help me fine tune my routine....

I watched the 3 degree differential over the course of an hour or so...

@ Home..
I will play with it more but after sitting idle for a while it rests at roughly 220F which would mean like 217F
after a 4oz flush the temp drops to about 207-209 so around 204 or 206F.... another 2 oz or less got me  down to 202-205 which in essence would be 199-202F for a pull...

The machine holds at about 208 for about 10 to 15 minutes strong...
being that I am NOT a numbers guy having a display keeps me honest with my routine... similar to how the click tamper is a GOD send for me....

the shots are pulling awesome... will post after I get some work done today...

more on the steam wand which I overlooked while I was at Barefoot but is very COOL... I can't explain why exactly but I will try....

that pic is too funny terry...

pulling shots again IS GOOD... nuff said...
