My Wega(older model, black top) vibe pourover(NOT Plumbed) has not been producing shots the way it has in the past. It is now taking about 30-35 seconds before the first drops start to show. Then, about another 30 seconds four the shot to get to 2oz. Hardly any crema when the shot does finish.
I’ve adjusted the grinds to different settings. I’ve used various tamping pressures. As low as 18-20lbs. at various tamp pressure. It used to be no problem to grind close to the Mazzer factory grind settings with 25-35 lbs. tamp pressure to get 2-2.5oz. in 25-30secs. total shot time. I would see the first drops of the shot around 8-10 secs.
My Mazzer is working fine. I backflush regularly. My manometer seems to be showing the same “pressure” as always. The safety valve and anti-siphon seem to be okay. Steaming is okay.

Try running the machine with an empty basket in the PF. Capture the water produced in 10 seconds and measure the volume (called the "water debit"). Then check out this thread:

I'll take a stab at this, it sounds like your pump is gone. vibe pumps don't last forever. try the water debit measure as rick suggested. new pumps are only about $50 and fairly easy to install. you might be just scaled up, depending on your water, but it sounds like a blown pump.
I seemed to kill vibe pumps every 18-24 months with my previous machines,(gaggia, bariista) over 8-9years, but I am hard on my toys.
hope this makes sense, i just finnished a 12 hour shift , woody
hmmm...you have found us out! The "jig" is up! OK, since you asked, the way to become a member of the CG "Inner Circle" is to do the following.
Take some of *$s freshest beans (this means ~8 to 10 months from roast) and bury them in your back yard - preferably near a sewage line.
Take some more of those same beans and re-roast them in your over at 550 degrees F for another hour (in case *$s hasn't burned them enough) and keep these in the basement near the water heater.
While standing in your home's entryway, spin around 4x whist both rubbing your head and patting your tummy .
Click your heals together 10x while repeating: "There's no place like home..."
OR
You could just hang out here for a little while and post a few times and let us get to know you.
BTW, nice set-up! Sincerely, I do hope you get your problem solved.

I've been hanging here around for more than a year. I was reading and observing before I became a member. I should have started the "4 Step" program back then!
Worldman, I've started the "4 Step" program to the CG "Inner Circle." Step 1 is almost complete! I've dug the hole near the sewer line...
I have made a few posts. I did make one post about my Bravi roaster. I was trying to get some help on posting pictures in the forums. I'm trying to learn how to post pictures and then be able to "Click to Enlarge," but I did not get much advice. I still need help on the pics!
I did call Terry Z., because I was not getting many responses here. A new pump is on the way.
Thank you Woody and Worldman!!!

Mike,
Man! You own and, it is assumed, use, not only a Wega Mini Nova and Mazzer grinder but a Bravi roaster, as well.
Alright, then...in spite of your measly 14 posts in ~1 year (* see below), you are hereby admitted into the vaunted inner circle. You will be contacted surreptitiously in a local coffee bar within the next couple of days and taught the CG secret handshake.
(*) As far as that reticence of yours (only 14 posts!!!!!!) we suggest that you use the Wega cum Mazzer cum Bravi much more frequently so as to bolster your vociferousness and come in here and post, post, post! (Even such drivel as my post here will do.)
At the bottom of the page (when writing your post) is an area to allow you to attach a file. All you need is to have properly sized picture files. The limit is 75kb.
One good way I have found is to take the pictures at very high resolution and size and then scale them down using a photo sizing tool. I believe my pics capture at 1200x1600 and 500kb to 1.2Mb in size for the originals. Then I often use the ONLINE SIZING TOOL that Noll K. (twomartinis) shared with us. The tool is easy to use and works quite well and it's free.
PLease feel free to contact me by email if you need more help with this.
And on another note - there's no club or clique at CG (that I know of). There's certainly no reason to be rude if a question goes unanswered.
Sometimes people don't have a good answer. Sometimes posting activity in the forums is low. In general; I personally believe it's better to keep my mouth shut and let people think I'm an idiot then to open my mouth and let them know for sure that I am...

betxs, hopefully this will help I have the Astoria CKX which I believe is very similar to your machine, I too experienced a similar problem and thought the Pump was on its way out but what ended up being the problem is the small mesh filter what water passess through had clogged up with gunk from the water, once this was replaced machine was back to normal, don't ask me where the filter resides is was all fixed under warranty at the repair center
