So, no mods to the HX tubing or heating element?

Curious about the PS replacement too.  I thought the Sirai was the "be all end all" of PS's.

The outer aesthetics changes

Close up of the face plate
*New black buttons a nod to the new LaMarzocco buttons....love it
*New LaMarzocco dual pressure guage.... larger than pressure guage that comes stock (personal favorite mod)
*Steam knob an added bonus (a tamper steam knob...very cool)
*Added group temperature display that runs off a small battery
(so you always know how hot the machine... before you pull a shot... after flush.... during the shot... very helpful)

two hole tip steam wand tip close up
*New steam wand which is definitely a nod to the LaMarzocco style steam wand.  It is a steaming demon.  It technically always was, but for some reason now when steaming milk I don't have to surf as much.  Also steam pressure drop is almost negligible over a minute.

In store setup @ Barefoot Coffee Roasters

Terry had scace devices @ the in-store @ Barefoot... I shoulda bought it while it was there... He said I would be fine... but the engineer in me..... Grrrr stupid Dom stupid Dom... oh well..... guess I will call Brian and have one sent out...

more on the internals later....
I am probably going to miss alot... but hopefully Terry will clean up my mistakes.... as usual....hehehe

Very very very nice!!!!!

I assume that you have about "$$$$4500 in your new La Marzocco consumer
machine!"

I'm just hoping I can get my Wega working again.

The new La Marzocco "consumer" machine seems like it is going to be
an awesome machine, but it will never be in my teacher's salary budget.

Maybe in several years other companies will see that, because of this new LM,
there is a market for a much better designed CONSUMER machine for less than $4500.

Last Sunday at Barefoot Dom was pulling great double ristrettos on his Killer Wega using SO Pea Berry beans from Barefoot. I've never seen beans that were that small before. So I bought a pound and pulled some awesome triple 1oz ristrettos on my Isomac Zaffiro today. Tons of fruitiness. Can't believe I never tried those beans before.

Dom, congratulations - what a great looking machine.  It would be awesome to be able to know/see temps displayed.

Is the device shown in the picture the "scace device" and if so:
- Is it similar to the device Strugs used in the screwhole on his Wega grouphead
- Is Terry selling them (how much??)
- Will it work on any E-61 (Andreja)?
- Am I allowed to discuss these things with the WEGA secret service

Or I could start saving for the LM.

Geoff

espressionist....

the thermal couple displays the temperature in the grouphead I believe.
The scace device is a calibration tool used for telling you the temperature hitting the puck....
I NEED one... okay okay... I WANT one...hehehe

I know they sell them for like 250.... not sure which pull down you would use for Andreja...
I think they are selling a bear bones edition for a shade cheaper but it is not listed on the website....

http://www.espressoparts.com/product/EPTF

well see if TerryZ can't answer that question.... he would know better than I....

getting antsy want to stop drinking french press and go back to espresso for the weekend...yippeee
