A few more photos to whet your appetite... here's the side profile of the machine with it's billeted aluminum side panels, anodized, then sandblasted with the logo.
Check out the steam "knob". Action's sweet, and allows for one handed steaming.

Some very quick details.
First and foremost, this is a preproduction, "experimental" machine that has some additional testing features and other things that may or may not make to the production unit. Where I know it's preproduction / testing, I will state that.
- cool touch wand and hot water pipes. - Full GB5 electronics package, PID controlled, controllable through the display panel. - Both steam and brew boiler are PID controlled (experimental). Steam boiler is PID'ed to test if it aids the machine in its economy mode. - Economy mode and full mode. But on this machine, economy mode runs it at 10AMP draw, brew boiler priority; full mode is 14amp, both boilers working all time. - Controllable temps to 0.3F via PID / control panel (experimental - may go down to 0.1F control) - Steam boiler is thermostat controlled, again through control panel. - Auto on / off ability (timer set) - 5 litre steam boiler, 3 litre brew boiler. - Paddle wheel version is still very much on the front page plans - they may sell two models down the road. - External aesthetics set for the most part, but the drip tray design may change. - mix water hot water tap controllable through physical mix AND electronics package. In 'lectronics, turn mixture on . off. Physical, side machine access lets you dial the mixture hotter or colder (experimental - may move to easier access for adjusting mixture) - guages same as used on GB5.
Gawd, there's more, but I want to get back and play.
Given that there's only one group, they'd almost certainly put the flowmeter ahead of the boiler, since its place on the multi-group Linea has caused so much trouble. In theory, it can be anyplace after the last branch point in the system. As long as there's only one group per boiler, there's no reason not to put it where it's not subjected to the heat, and won't cool the water. What I'm interested in is whether they solved the first-shot-from-idle problem. I'd expect so, but I'd sure like to know for certain.
