Posted Mon Nov 7, 2005, 3:34pm Subject: turn saeco vienna into vienna deluxe (sorta)
Hi,
Just got the Saeco Vienna for the quick cup and I was opening it up just now (offcourse). The main difference between the Vienna and the Vienna deluxe is the coffee dosage knob. On the normal vienna there is none, so you can't adjust the coffee dosage, just the amount of water. Offcourse I didn't believe this, it's cheaper to manufacture them all the same and just remove the knob on the cheaper model. So when I removed the Coffee resevoir, I could see a small lever just in the front (inside) of the machine. When you look in from the top, it's front left. I looked it up the parts catalog and there it is : the dosage lever! So if you want somewhat stronger coffee, just change the setting to the left or right and it should change the coffee dosage.
Mind you, I still have to test al this but I just had to post it.
Funny how marketing works sometimes.......
Here's the parts catalog....the lever should be nr. 23.
