I am finally convinced that spending 1000 dollars on an espresso machine is not insane. This machine will be used by my wife and me for strictly personal use. We both love cafe con leche, as they say in Spain.
I have narrowed my choices to three Saeco machines, the Royal Digital Plus, the Magic Comfort Plus, and the V'spresso. I have also looked at the Capresso 1500, and the Jura Capresso F7.
I would really appreciate any advice as to which of these machines would be most suitable for me.
Thank you
Dundas

If you're looking at Saeco I would recommend you take a look at the new Incanto Sirius model. It's the only Saeco with a stainless steel body and it's build like a little tank compared to all thier other models. Touch screen programming is a breeze and it has a lot of nice features such as disabling the pre-infusion brew mode and the rinse cycles.  I also like the new SBS system on this model.

I own the new Jura S9 Avantgarde, but I think the Incanto Sirius is better looking and delivers espressos equal to anything the Jura produces for $900 less.

I'd recommend shopping by service.  Go for whatever seems best from a place that will provide you with all the support that you need.  Buy locally, if possible, 'cause if something goes wrong, you don't want to be boxing it up and shipping it ...

Cheers,

Luca

Welcome!

For a kilobuck I'd probably go with Chris' Anita.

Edit: Check their Canada pricing link at the bottom.

I'd rate their service as tops because I bought a 30 day return Silvia from them and it was truly like new and no probs.  1 day ship Albany to Boston.  May be a day or 2 longer to wherever in Canada but it won't be held up at Chris' !!!
