Subject: Where to buy metric compression fittings in US?

I have my La San Marco back together and have noticed a number of improvements (hurray!), but there is still one small issue to repair. I have two copper line compression fittings that leak. The best approach I can come up with is to cut them off and replace them, as they have been compressed so much that I think that the copper line is weak there. Does anyone know where I can order the metric compression fittings (sleeve and nut) from in the US? Hopefully someone that won't laugh at me when I ask for two instead of two hundred ;o).

Also, when I order them, am I correct in assuming that I can provide them the outside diameter of the line and the metric wrench size of the nut?

Finally, on another topic, what is the brass nut at the top front of the group head for. Mine is seized, but the parts guy chuckled when I said I wanted to replace it. My impression was that he didn't think that I had any reason to care if it stayed in there forever. Could it be that they put some sort of Lock-Tite on it?

Thanks,

Joel

Parker is one of the largest fluid control mfrs.:
http://www.parker.com/tfd/
Find a distributor or Parker Store near you.

I also recommend www.globalspec.com - to anyone - one can find 90% of common parts that go into every espresso machine.
