I measure out what I need and grind it. Nothing gets stored in the grinder. I use a tablespoon measure, I know for drip I measure what I need for 16,32 or 48 oz pots. Espresso is the same, I know I need just 3 level tablespoons for about 16-18 gr. Give or take doesn't make a difference overall. Cleaning the grinder is very rare and how tabu, but I'm using it everyday and also beans roasted less than 18 days. It is not any extra effort to do it this way, I use a virtuoso for my grinder and I get good results.
