Subject: Entry level Grinder to go with Gaggia Cubika?

Hi People,
I live in the UK and look for a basic grinder that can do esspreso at around 60 quid to go along with my Gaggia Cubika and my Danesi beans.
I know this is a basic set up but thats what I can afford at the moment and also the "Wife approval factor" is quite low...

The options are:

Briel Moka CG3 Grinder
Cuisinart DBM8U Coffee Grinder
        Gaggia Coffee Grinder MM
        Dualit Coffee Grinder
        Bodum Antigua

I read what I could here on the site but Im looking for more opinions, please advise and share from your experience, thanks!!!

I've only got experience with the Dualit and the Gaggia MM. The former is better, but it's still not good enough (although I never did the modification which is frequently recommended). When I stepped up from the Dualit to a Mazzer, I stepped up to proper espresso - what I was preparing before did not fall into that category. Make of that what you will.

Other options open to you are hand-grinders. It seems that Zassenhauses are as rare as hens teeth these days, but I see anothercoffee, whom I bought my Zass from, are now selling Peugeot grinders - they might be worth considering. Ex-commercials (Rossis, Iberitals etc) occasionally go very cheaply on ebay.

I'm afraid the reason you might not have got a response to your queries yet is that a lot of new posters ask about the cheapest option on grinders, when the majority of people on Coffeegeek will tell you that the grinder comes first, and is not something to be economised on.

By the way - how fresh are those Danesi beans? If they're more than two weeks from roasting, you're not going to get much out of them (and if you don't know the answer, you can safely assume they are WAY older than two weeks). Danesi have cool cups though...  clicky.
