I am finally going to buy a silvia soon. Is it a good idea to buy the watersoftener? My tap - brita water is fairly hard but i will try to use bottled water as much as possible. I will descale regularly.

Our Toronto tap water is moderately hard @ 9.5 grains per gallon or 133 mg/L, ppm total hardness. I'm not sure how much is removed by the Brita, but I'd get it as it's a good idea in the case.
