I have a Sylvia/Rocky combo that I am very happy with but do not want the hassle of changing the Rocky settings to grind coffee for my Bunn drip coffee maker. So, I'm looking for a decent grinder just for drip coffee. Price range should not exceed $100. Suggestions??

Hi Scott,

I'm not trying to funny here, but what hassle is in moving the dial in a second or two from say your espresso setting, to your peferred setting for drip?, it couldn't be easier. I have a  Rocky s.s. doser model & it has the gamut fully covered with ease with 63 indexed click stops.

I have one of the Solis 166's rebadged as a Starbucks Barista.  I think there was a legal stink initiated by SB's so the current SB's burr grinder is not the same one.  And I don't think the Solis 166 is still manufactured.  If I were buying one today, I think I'd look at one of the Solis models.

I bought the Solis Maestro for $130. It's not so good for espresso but seemed fine for drip. I'm giving it to my father (huge upgrade for him). Main annoyance is the static buildup with coarser grinds.

Hi Scott,

You could read this thread here. It's about the Capresso Infinity conical burr grinder, $99.99 in pre-ordered black, & $139.99 in brushed chrome. The person they're referring to is, on alt.coffee, handle "spresso" Al Critzer., a well respected person on the newsgroup.
