The pressure gauge on my three year old ECM Giotto has suddenly started reading very low-about 0.2-0.3 bar. I tried a small adjustment of the pressurestat but there was no noticeable difference. I can't tell if the problem is the gauge or the pressurestat. The machine is still working OK, but I think I have noticed that steaming milk is not as quick, so maybe it is low pressure. Any thoughts on what to do next? Thanks, Martin

Don't know but if your boiler pressure is 0.2-0.3 bar you can't be getting a lot of steam. Might be your gauge then if your machine is working fine otherwise. For the slower times could also be your pressurestat although scale build up I've read can make machines quirky.
Yeah, .2 - .3 would be like having no steam at all. Does it drop down to zero during steaming? Usually on my Giotto, it would drop to .5 during the course of steaming 20 ounces of milk. Below .5 becomes painfully slow. If you truly starting at .2, then you'll have no steam power in no time. And I would think the espresso would be plenty sour and under temperature. Sounds like a gauge problem to me.
