Hi forum,
I am looking for a good espresso machine that will fit on my kitchen table. Unfortunately my kitchen table is only 35 CM deep so I am looking an espresso machine that is MAX 40 CM in depth (preferably less).
I would prefer to get a machine that has HeatExchange, E61 grouphead and a hot water tab as I mostly drink americanos. I might have to compromise on the grouphead I suspect.
I have only found the "La Nuova Era - Cuadra" - but there seems to be very lille information on this machine available. I have looked at the Oscar also - but I would prefer to have a machine that can make an americano without having to boil (or steaming) water.
Are there any alternatives that offer all of the above ?

hmm... I don't have a fixed budget - the "La Nuova Era - Cuadra" is expensive but if I had full confidence (if was well tested and reviewed) if would probably pay that much.

Oh, yeah I was thinking more around your maximum of 40 cm, but the Expobar might be just slightly too deep. Maybe someone else will have a suggestion, but welcome to CoffeeGeek!

Will your better half let you drill a hole in the kitchen bench top? How about a fully featured HX e61 in plumb-in config? Those usually come shallower than pour-over ones with the tank.

Take a look at the Fiorenzato Bricoletta lineup. They are not too deep (around 16" I believe), but a little higher than most, and are VERY well made...commercial quality, very reliable etc.

Hmmm...with such a short depth to the table, why not turn the machine 90 degrees? Then the Expobar fits with >50mm to spare on BOTH sides. This meets your criteria of: - HX - E61 (type) - Hot water tap.
