Hi
Anyone know of a place in ohio that stocks the  Rancilio Silvia ? I would rather it be in the  Columbus area and south from there, but would be willing to drive up north if needed. I would really rather pick one up than trust it to the ham handed shipping companys.

You do realize that the machine has to be shipped from the Italy to the dealer, right? ;-)

Yep, I do know that. But if it arrives at the dealer damaged it's his problem, If it arrives at my home damaged it's mine.  I have had a lot of problems getting damaged shipments replaced before. Not due to any fault on the dealer I bought it from, it's the shipping companys insurence folk that cause the delays I think.

Dogbert101 ,

There is a place near Cleveland they carry Rancilio machines. it is called:
http://www.espressozone.com

          I've also purchased machines from:

           http://www.wholelattelove.com/.

If you buy it out of state and have the unit shipped you can save on sales tax.

Purchased Silvia from Chris Coffee and it came double boxed with lots of packing peanuts...very secure and low risk IMHO.
