So with all this talk about the Rancilio Silvia being overpriced these days (at $699), if they were to redesign it for 2009, what changes would you like to see and what price would you be willing to pay?

I was hoping to see more similar responses to this question in that thread. Mine: She needs a pressure gauge, pre-infusion, and temp readout to be @ $699. Add custom PID for ultimate temp control, and I can see $849. I doubt her tech could support upwards value, and this is the top end for an espresso-specialist single-boiler machine. This opinion is subject to change if other responses are convincing enough. :)
