From another thread, but talking about water resevoir for an Expobar:

My "tupperware" container that I luckily found sitting in my cabinet was actually a Sterillite with numbers 212 T on bottom. It is not exactly a perfect fit, but very close. It shouldn't be hard to find a rectangular plastic container to fit opening. Opening measures 4" x 8" x 10-1/4". Container should be slightly smaller and no more than 10" high to allow for closure of lid without crimping plastic tubes. Mine is exactly 10".

I've had a brief look around the web, looking mostly at scientific supply houses.  I can't find a 8x10x4 bottle/container but that's just on-line.  My sister is a food scientist, and she's going to have a look through catalogs.

How much interest is there in a nearly-perfect-fit bottle?  If I found something with a minimum order of 6 or 12, would anyone want one?  Has anyone thought about using an external resevoir?

The manual seems to indicate a water level sightglass, mine doesn't have one (I don't  think, I haven't taken the ugly plastic off yet).  Has anyone tried to rig up a water-level gadget?  I was thinking a water tube connected to the bottom of the resevoir, looping down and out from underneath the machine and attached (somehow) to the side - giving a water level in a way similar to large coffee urns.

Anyone tried to add a pressure gage?  Is there any reason to?

Yes, and yes. The float kit works well for me. I also installed a drain in the pan, attached to my house drain. The float kit is from from Chris' Coffee Service, and is widely used throughout geekland. Fits just fine in my Expobar tank. I have actually removed the tank, extended the hose line, and relocated the tank, pump, and flowmeter to the basement of my house to make for a quieter espresso machine. It pumps from the basement with no problem. I've also added a gauge, and it was definitely worth it. I depend on my gauge and monitor it on every shot. See this thread for gauge info.
