Ok, I am using freshly roasted beans by myself. Roasted 2 days ago. I roast about every week. This also was occuring with a different bean last week. I have been getting excessive squirting out of my naked portafilter. I can't get rid of them. It may be my dosing but this is crazy amounts and there was a week or so between going bottomless and this excessive squirting. I am using a mazzer sj for grinding and no matter what the setting I get the same amount of squirting. My machine is a Kitchenaid Proline (A Gaggia clone with dual boilers and 3-way valve).

Ok, other problems I am having that have occurred around the same time that maybe indications of the root problem:
-I backflush after every shot with water. After backflushing I hear a constant hiss of steam from the machine. I don't know from where and dont recall this being normal. If I flush some water through the group without my blank the hissing stops.
-My brew boiler sits right on top of my grouphead so a increase in temperature could cause steam to come out. Sometimes, usually if the machine is doing its hissing, and I flush water through the group then mostly steam and little water comes out! Until it is cooled off by the incoming water to the boiler.

I have descaled twice and back flushed with joe glow by its instructions since this has been happening. I am clueless! Please help! My shots are turning out like garbage and nasty and used to be very attractive and delicious.

I have no idea if this would  help you, but I was getting lots of squirters until I adjusted brew pressure from 10 bar to just under 9.5 and then they totally went away, my shots were thicker, creamier and richer. Does you machine allow for adjusting the brew pressure?

"Squirters" are mainly caused by a poor, or less the perfect, distribution of grounds in the filter basket.

I would suggest reading This Article.  It is about the WDT method.  I highly reccomend it.  Some people think it is a pain, but I personally think its great.

A brew pressure reduction could also help with this, but I think your pain problem is ground coffee distribution.  Read the articled, try the method, and see what happens.
