I just found this incredible-looking, very unique dappled aluminum stove-top pot in a second-hand store. Only problem is, it has some kind of weird mystery way of opening it. It looks at first like an ordinary three-piece, but upon closer inspection, the groves to unscrew the pot are just etched onto it. It looks like the inside part where the coffee comes out might lift out, but no amount of tugging or turning has gotten any part of it to budge. It's not a clamp either. It's made in Italy, and the brand name seems to be something like Triede. Any ideas?
