Well, this is my debut post on this site, so be nice to the newbie. =)
Before I try this, I wanted to check and see what kind of experiences anyone has had with returning Starbucks Merchandise.
I bought a Starbucks Barista Machine about four days ago. I'm a newbie to at-home espresso, and the sale price and timing fit my current needs.
After browsing this site, I learned of the discount coupon. I called the Starbucks store, and was told that they didn't know anything about the online 20% discount coupon, and could not honor it.
I did the math, and even after shipping, this coupon saves me another $60. I'm debating ordering the Barista online, and returning the one I bought.
Does anyone forsee any problems with returning it? How weird is Starbucks about merchandise returns?

I personally have not returned anything to Starbucks but if their customer service is the same at their stores as it has been on the phone, you should have no problems. Most any company allows returns within 30 days if you are not satisfied. Give it a shot, you don't have anything to lose.

I returned a Starbuck's Barista that was kind of sick and about 95 days out from purchase. I think that if you bought the machine at a Starbucks near you and return it to where you purchased it, provided you have the sales slip, you should not have a problem. Just tell them that it simply did not meet your needs. I encountered nothing but politeness from everyone I dealt with.

Say what you will about Starbucks, their customer service is excellent. They're very concerned about their corporate image and my (educated) guess is that you'll experience no problems in returning the merchandise.
