Wondering if anyone can help me with this..
The unit is 9 years old, and a couple of days ago I noticed water coming out all around the ring - took it apart and there's a hole in the side of the boiler, seems as if the metal has corroded and weakened to the point of breaking.
Is there anywhere in the uk that I can get a replacement boiler?

I'm not anything like an expert on metallurgy, but it looks like there was some kind of defect, ( a void or impurity) in the original casting of the boiler to cause that unusual damage. The rest of the boiler, with only mineral deposits, looks to be in fairly good shape considering age. It is most peculiar to have this void with extensive 'pitting' only in one small area. I would think it is something in original manufacture of the boiler.
...Good luck finding a replacement boiler. You should be able to find a source on your side of the pond. ...mine was imported from Italy. 9 years old though may be time to consider replacing the entire machine.
