Oh man, I got a metal putty knife and it's still not coming off! This gasket is absolutely terrible. I'm trying to be careful with a razor blade, but it's so hard that I'm not making a huge amount of progress...

Funny story, but no. I was playing Starcraft at a friends house and needed to make an account, a few obvious ones were taken and I made a account name based on "Jack Napier" which is the name of the Joker in Batman before he became the Joker. I'm not a comic book guy, but it came to mind, and I never really wanted to put much thought into my screen names.

I have a 1999 S27. I was wondering what the 2 manual "switches" on the circuit board were. For the "economizer" switch, can someone explain how it economizes? What are the negatives to using it?
I recently replaced the autofill probe wire because the prior one was losing insulation. Should I have used a silicon insulated wire?
When I bought my S27 the autofill probe was set all the way down. Where is the best setting for the probe?
Recently I rebuilt the steam wand with new parts, replaced the vacuum breaker gasket, replaced the shower screen and group head gasket...are there any other "preventive maintenance" steps I should take. I don't think that it had been well maintained, but a water softener was used, so there's no scale.

If you read earlier in the thread, you'll see I asked the same thing. It is apparently to mix some tap water with the boiler water at the water outlet if enabled. This is apparently only a feature for something other than the s27 since several models used the same board.

Well, if it were triggered it would send water from the boiler AND water from the tap to the hot water spout. Since the S20s don't have the requisite piping required, it will never do anything.
