Hi, tried to post this on another forum, and used the search function extensively but couldn't find anything.
I've got the opportunity to buy a used Simonelli Appia with smart wand. Does anyone have any experience with one (the smart wand)? I've been told it doesn't produce perfect microfoam.
Also, how hard/expensive would it be to remove the smart wand and install a regular one?

It's pretty easy actually. There are no electronics to change, you just have to change the piping and add the solenoid assembly for the hot water. It will change the position of the hot water to the left and the steam to the right. PM me and I can send you the parts list.
