That was one of my initial thoughts but it has +<--->- next to it which indicates some sort of possibility for adjustment. I did wonder if it had anything to do with deadband adjustment.
As long as we're on the subject, is there a way to adjust the deadband on a Sirai pressurestat? The only apparent adjustment screw (on top of it) sets the upper end. I'd also like to set the lower end a little higher than it is.
It's the interval between "on" and "off." For example, if the pressurestat kicks on the heating element at 0.9 bar and cuts off at 1.1 bar, the deadband is 0.2 bar. That represents a temperature variance of ~4F, IIRC.
I think i have just over adjusted my deadband adjustment screw. :-( Over zealous with the screwdriver, and it looks as though i have stripped the threads, this what i get for using a Leatherman Wave instead of a suitable screwdriver for such an intricate adjustment.
Does anyone on the group have any idea where i can buy a new Pressurestat to fit my Euro2000 Junior ?
Preferably one identical to the original as in Ian's initial post above.
No panic as we are off on holiday this Saturday for 2 weeks. :-)
