Anyone know where I can lock in the best price on a new Alex Duetto II? I've been inquiring to a few sites, but not many deals to be had. I also want to hear any pros and cons when looking for a seller. I've been trying to find some reviews online and their scarce, or either extremely bad or extremely good (biased). Also, has anyone bought from CoffeeWishes.com. I found one good review but that was it? I need to buy anywhere but CA, tax here is killin us! Thanks for any suggestions!

Any of our sponsers here on CG will do right by you. Customer service is much more valuable than possibly saving $10 on a $1500 purchase and our advertisers have customer service in spades.

I think you guys are right, can't really go wrong with any of the dealers out there? I received pretty good responses from most of them. I contacted. Chris, Seattle Coffee and Coffeewishes and they were all very helpful and from what I've read, have stellar customer service. I hate to be a cheapskate, I really didn't like haggling but I'm pretty low on cash these days (like most people). I probably shouldn't be buying the machine right now but there never seemed to be a right time to replace my old machine. Only thing is I'm still not sure if I can get the 20 amp to work in my kitchen or if I can use the water hose that goes to my fridge to plumb in the model? These are the only things holding me up right now. Thanks for the info guys, hopefully I'll be a happy owner of the Alex Duetto and get back to the glory days of coffee!

Presented in the FWIW Dept. . . .
I'm a long-time satisfied customer of Chris' Coffee, having purchased a good deal of equipment from them.
I've never purchased anything from Seattle Coffee, but many regular participants here have, and they have posted favorably on their experience.
I've never heard of Coffeewishes.
Take that for whatever you like . . .
Cheers, Jason
P.S. No financial interest in any of these companies, etc., etc.
The guys at Coffeewishes have been really, really helpful and patient with me over all the emails sent. I think Seattle would be best for me as far as location goes but I really don't think these machines would break, unless I got a lemon so I doubt this matters. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Chris either, as a matter of fact, I would rather go through Chris since he's the master distributor of the Alex Duetto but he's in NY. Again, don't think the machine would break but I hate to imagine shipping a machine this heavy that far. Lastly price and not know if I can upgrade my kitchen outlets to 20 amps/and plumbing water are holding me up. I probably should be looking at the Rocket Cellini (my first choice) because it's more in my price range but we all know what happens when you start investigating toys and I figure in the long run it won't matter too much. Going to have an electrician come check my kitchen out this weekend. Thanks again for help guys!

I bought my ponte vecchio from coffeewishes, and the machine shipped direct from 1st-line. So I believe coffeewishes is just an internet reseller of coffee equipment. They also have a presence on the e-bay

Well I'm not sure where the "armpit of California" is, but I've purchased virtually all my equipment from either Chris' Coffee Service or 1st-Line (NY and NJ, respectively), and it's never been a problem . . .
I think we're all talking about "new" equipment? There is a used Alex Duetto II on Craigslist but I don't really want to buy used. A good price is only good when both parties are happy and don't feel cheated BTW, if you want the correct answer. I mean I'm not expecting a "friends and family" discount, just something I can personally live with.
