Nice combination . . . it may be a bit frustrating from time to time, but very quickly you'll be making great drinks that will make your wife wonder how she could ever drink the stuff they served at Starbucks!

I know there is more to this than meets the eye, but isn't really going to take several weeks before I can make a decent latte?
We are heading on vacation for a week beginning this weekend and when we return I'll be focused on making the purchase and getting the boat in the water! Feels like the summer is here and the Chesepeake is calling.

I see you're in the Philadelphia area. I live in Wilmington, DE and am also looking at launching soon. What kind of boat do you have?
If you would like to try out the BZ07 before you make the purchase, send me a PM and we can plan a visit here at my home - I will make you the best coffee I can.

Chris,
Thanks for the offer. I am now trying to decide which BZ07 to get, the regular one, or the full automatic dosing one. I'll call 1st Line today and make a decision. Here is a link to the choices.
We keep our boat right at Summit North Marina which is on the C&D Canal and about 40 minutes from Chadds Ford. It's the perfect location to us and we spend most of our time either dockside, on the Bohemia or at the Chesapeake Inn. The two kids, 3&7, absolutely love it! I have a 312 Rinker which suits us well for now. Do you have a boat as well?

Stay within your budget (like that is possible!) but my personal point of view is that the Automatic is MUCH nicer to use and as I have a plumb in, automatic, I really don't like using anything "less". The auto dosing makes getting the grinder dialed in much easier as your shot volume is consistent, your grind volume should be consistent and being consistent is a good thing.
With auto dosing, your volume will always be exactly what you set it for. If that is, say, 1.75 oz for a double, then the machine will stop at 1.75 oz regardless of what the crema or what the shots look like in different cups. You can ALWAYS stop the shot anytime you want but the machine will not LET you go too long, so just adjust the grinder to give the time you want your shot to be, the machine takes care of the volume and BANG, you are there!

At this point I don't really have a set budget but want to make sure I get something that will last for a while. I'm thinking the automatic dosing BZO7 is the way to go...
