Ok so i am currently on with an Elektra 3 group fully automatic. it has a key port ont he facia panel which has a lead going from the back of it and into the main board of the machine.
Am i correct in assuming this is to lock out people from programming the machine and must be inserted if adjustments are to be made to its programme panel?
I do not have the key (although i guess i could buy one) but if i short out the wire into the board will this act as the key and allow me to go ahead with the programming or is this likely to end in disaster and a faulty board? what happens if i simply remove it from the board?

of course for fully automatic you mean automatic (with dosing volumetric programming) what the date on your machine a maxi should be from pre 97,
you will need to key (or.............) to access the programming, all 4 (2 singles and 2 double ) will need to be programmed, which is different from the newer style 7 buttons (only single do then the double will double the volume) programming the left the other 2 dose pads (if wired correctly) will copy the left one if you have a 5 buttons configuration most of the keys are the same up to 05 or so you can see them on our web page
