My new-to-me brewtus II has a leak where the water supply line elbow goes into the pump (I'm pretty sure that's what it is). The water line comes out of the reservoir and connects to what looks like a black plastic 90 degree elbow and the elbow connects to the bracket that the pump hangs on. You can see slow seepage around the joint in the picture.
I've sent the photo to support at whole latte love but haven't heard back yet. I know they're busy and am thinking that I should try a simple approach of just applying some clear silicon sealant, the kind that would be used around a tub or window. I am thinking that it will not be necessary to use "food grade" sealant, just the normal stuff, which I have several tubes of.
What do you all think of this? Dumb idea? Ok idea? Anything I should be aware of?

I think the cleanest and simpleist approach is to use a small gear type hose clamp on it. You can get them from an auto supply or hardware store.

Thanks for the thought, but it doesn't seem to be the connection of the tubing to the elbow that's leaking, where a hose clamp would help. It's something about the connection of the elbow to the pump. This is hard plastic.
