Hi Guys! First post here.
For some reason when I brew, it spits out small red and green metallic chips!! I filmed it if you want to see what I'm talking about. http://youtu.be/w3yRzg1A2jY
Also, How can I tell if my Rancilio Silvia is still under warranty? There is no phone number on the sticker under the drip-tray.

That's both from the steam wand and from the brew head, right? I don't know the Silvia, but did the seller by any chance say the machine was freshly descaled? You might ask how that was done.

The chips are almost certainly debris spalled off your element after it's been overheated. Travel will have distributed them through the water path, but they'll flush out pretty easily. Try not to overheat the element again, it will almost certainly kill it.
