I am embarking on some traveling by air in the next few weeks and I intend to bring a myPressi 2.0 along for the ride. Usually, I pack the maker in my checked bag with no issues. On this particular trip, I am only traveling with a carry on bag. Has anyone had issues or experience taking one of these items through the TSA security?
I am fully aware I cannot travel with the N2O cartridges.

Just a guess but if you do not have the pressurized carts with you, there should be no objection to the device it's self. I have carried on electric grinders etc with no problem. I got some funny looks about them but once they knew what the devices were, I had no problems but you might be asked to explain just what the heck that thing is!

A- a mypressi B- a Kyocera grinder from OE C- An LPU (see D) Click Here (www.dfwairparts.com) D- A copy of TSAs website saying I can bring two spare compressed air cartridges with an LPU E - Occasionally a Bellman CXE-25
I always have issues, but always make it through if I bring A-E. With just A and B, I often get bag checked, because I think the mypressi may look like a firearm under the xray machine.
Air travel within the USA. I typically travel on a five day trip with the largest carry-on sized duffel available. My coffee stuff takes up about half the bag. If you look at TSA's website's list of prohibited items, it explicitly says you can bring two spare n2o carts with a life vest, so that's what I do. But it is a real hassle to argue about it with TSA, so I often skip it if I am going somewhere where whipped cream chargers are readily available.
