Espresso: IZZO Alex II Grinder: Baratza Vario
Posted Sun Jul 22, 2012, 5:57am Subject: Need HELP ASAP with my Alex II
I just went to make an espresso and noticed that the temperture on the group head is low 174F instead of the normal 220F. I was able to get the temp. up after I did a flush but when I lifted the handle for the flush it took about 3-5 seconds for it to start and go to 9 bar.
Can anyone suggest what could be causing the water in the grouphead to not come up to temperture and the delay when pulling a shot for the machine to get to 9 bars? Everything was working great except for the PID which the button sticks but seems to function properly.
I will be calling Chris coffee first thing tomorrow but would like to know now if possible.
