]I've done over 25 cups from the steam wand, and this is the same result each time: Click Here (i146.photobucket.com) , that small amount of deposit in the middle after descaling is the same even in different cups, never less never more lol. Is that lime deposit? Or something else from the thermoblock? I noticed similar from the group head but it was fine after a couple flushes and clear now.

Seems to be ok now, ran a couple more cups out of the steam wand and only saw some specks here and there. It was originally in Canada, so not sure how hard their water is. And I've only used the steamer a few times so pry built up from sitting so long. But looks fine now. I use filtered water from the fridge into a brita filtered pitcher for the reservoir, so it'll be interesting to see upon next descaling what happens.
BTW Bill is great, any questions are answered fast. And sent some updated parts to me like the new diffuser block for the head vs the original one that's very nice but is dense brass (weighed it at almost 9oz) which even after flushing/warming up can still pull some heat away from the water, not with the new one. Just made a shot and it was excellent. I put the new EMI filters on here sent that are on new machines as well, little tricky, but this machine is laid out very well to work on with cool things thought of (like the pump being able to rotate and flex in place so you could reach the mounts for the EMI).

Just curious what your process was for desalting the CC1? I haven't done it yet but just want to know what I will be getting myself into before trying. Thanks in advance!
