Thanks. I was thinking of adding the Esatto, but screw it, I may just as well spring for the Vario-W. :)
I just also saw a demo of the Magica, and it really looks great. But does anyone have any plus or minus views on the joystick controls that appear to be the new thing? I like the concept (i.e., ease of use.)

You totally need to go to Chris' coffee. There is nothing like hands on. Also, I have heard they give very fair appraisals of each machine they sell and you will really understand the differences when you are done talking to them.

I will; but I do wish Chris carried Bezzera, though. I haven't heard anything negative about Bezzera machines, and would love to check it out alongside my other choices. I suppose I could always make a separate trip to 1st Line in NJ, though. What I'll do for coffee...

Espresso: Oscar Grinder: Super Mini / Super Mini E

The Cimbali Max in the buy/sell will help you get your grind on at a reasonable price. Titan burrs in a small package.
I have a Preciso. It's a flimsy little tart and flirting with my Mazzer Mini. I'll be surprised if it lasts the year.
The machines listed are great but demand something more than Preciso IMO. My Oscar/Preciso/Mini setup was netted for about $1000 total - used/refurb but all in great shape. Next up is a grinder upgrade.
