I'm trying to replace the steam valve shaft on my Isomac Rituale, but the knob has to come off to remove the shaft, and I can't figure out how to get the knob off. It appears to be either a press fit or threaded. I've tried pulling it straight off, and applied a lot of pressure, but don't want to break it. Can anyone offer some insight? Thanks in advance.

If your knob as a cover you will need to pry it out
gently and with a small screwdriver or razor blade or something of the sort
then you will see a nut (10mm socket or nut driver)
and the rest should be simple from there
well sort of, to access the valve you need to remove it from the inside of the machine

I've tried to remove the cover, but it just will not budge. I even tried chilling it with an ice cube to shrink it a  bit and prying with a pair of steak knife points, but all I achieved was coming close to stabbing myself several times.  I'll sleep on it and see if I can come up with a better plan tomorrow.
