Hey guys, I took this piece out today and inspected it but don't know how to make it a snugger fit. I'm seeing a little water come out of the top. Teflon tape? https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-npvOZQ8uSWQ/UDf xQ3LaGGI/AAAAAAAAReI/54GQ-Qpn3Xk/s640/IMG_1855.jpg click here

When I teflon taped where the hose sits in this...pressure fitting(?) it made the water dribble come out a little further down in the rotating mechanism. Does anyone know what this part is called, and if it can be opened or snugged up? I edited the link in my post above.

There is a ferrule and the sleeve inside the teflon hose you can open the fitting and inspect if you have enough slack perhaps cut the end of the teflon hose off and reposition sleeve ferule and try again

Thanks Stefano! So just before I do irreparable modification, you're saying I should pull the hose out and trip the part that's been previously sitting in this ferrule? I may have enough slack. It is hard for me to imagine something in the metal part failing, just because there are a couple other similar fittings directly near this one.

I bought the machine from a church who used it rarely, I experienced the leak the first time I fired it up at home. When I called the seller (who was a really nice and genuine guy), he said it had never done anything like that in the past. Strange.

i wonder if that hose fitting is the original. it's peculiar that it wouldnt fit back on properly. also the picture in the parts book looks different from the hose connector that you have. i know NS may have changed it and not updated the book, too.
you have another oscar, right? maybe see if it's even the correct part. if you need, i'll check my oscar when i get home and compare the connector.
maybe it's been repaired before and they used the wrong part?
