For such a small difference in price, it's practically a no brainer which one to choose, especially when it comes to convenience.
If you are primarily an espresso drinker, you want good temperature stability and the Oscars wins there over the Silvia, hands down.
Since I personally make many more Milk drinks than straight espresso, my Silvia is fine, but I do find it annoying when I screw something up and end up pulling a burnt or sour shot because I didn't temperature surf properly.

Some folks leave their Oscar on 24/7. I think that using a timer to have it come on 45 minutes before you get up wouldn't take too long to pay for the timer in electricity savings. My Ellimatic (the Nuova Simonelli predecessor to Oscar) takes about 20-30 minutes to get temperature stable. Oscar should be about the same, but half an hour is the safe time. a little longer is good.
Hi again, just when I was about to order I got the new offer from my dealer. They just got in La Nuova Cuadra + Anfim best grinder. but its 300$ more. Is it worth it over my previous set up? I've already streched my budget and beeing novice do I really need Cuadra?
Theres no such offer unfortuantly but he did offered Macap M5 for 400$ after I just called him once more, but I think thats streching my budget too much. Is it really that big of difference between the machines?
