Saeco Royal Digital Plus makes one espresso then stops. Makes one espresso just fine but then does not allow to make another one. Hear it grinding and seems to be making a cup but nothing comes out.

I would personally advise bringing in the machine for a professional service at an authorized service dealer.
Superautomatic machines are fairly complicated machines and generally are not very serviceable by the user, short of routine cleaning and maintenance as described in the instruction manual.
In saying that, it would help if you could let us know what sort of electronics, electrical and/or mechanical knowledge you have. If you don't have a lot of either, then I do not recommend attempting to service the machine yourself.

Thank you for your reply! My sister is the one that has actually taken apart and looked at it. She cleans and repairs computers for a living, so has some knowledge of electrical / mechanical. She did a very thorough cleaning and and put it back together. Some of the research that we have done suggests that we many just need to buy a new brew unit. But trying to be sure before we fork out $85 and then have to turn around and order something else. Thanks! Christy
