Hi Everyone...I have a new Saeco Via Venezia that I bought from Williams Sonoma about 1 month ago. It's been working fine up until today. Now the steam wand doesn't work...when pressure/heat builds up, it automatically releases through the group head, but it never actually dispenses steam through the wand anymore.
For example, I turn on the machine, you can hear the steam build up, and then all of the sudden it will discharge through the group head. If I push on the steam function, it builds up and then automatically releases through the group head also even when I haven't turned the steam knob.
One odd thing happened before this: When I was unscrewing the percolator screen (to clean it) the entire part#49 (see below link on Page 2) unscrewed off instead of just the percolator screw. I screwed it back in and it is secure, but ever since this happened the steam wand has not been working properly.
Do you know what could be wrong? I'd love to fix it myself if I can, but I don't want to disassemble a brand new machine if that's what it's going to take...It is under warranty...I just can't believe I'm already having problems with this machine.

The hell with contacting Saeco, You bought it from Williams Sonoma, bring it back, get a refund and do some research here before you buy another machine. You may end up buying the same machine from WS or you may want to spend a little more and buy another brand-model from a another vender.

Thank everyone. I called Williams Sonoma... They have very good customer service...they told be I can return it for a full refund or exchange it for a new one (though WS is apparently no longer carrying this model). Don't know that I'll the Via Venezia again though. It produced decent enough espressos, but I'm a bit concerned about the build quality. Thanks again.
