I have a Quick Mill E61 machine, and lots of porta filters for it. Question: Will these porta filters work with machines that say they have 58mm sizes, e.g. Simonelli, Cimbali, etc. I know some machines like the Vivaldi have very different sizing, but how compatible are e61 porta filters?
Most E61 pfs will fit most E61 and quite a few 58mm also. I have a naked PF I bought for my Oscar when I had one that I use on my ECM E61 and it fits onto my Brizilia 2 grp commercial machine. The main difference is where the ears are and the angle of the handle when locked in. Not ALL are interchangeable but quite a few are.
There you go, a positive "mabey" for an answer!

Thanks: Looks like it's all about "angles and ears." I have 3 pf's, close to $300 worth, was looking at changing machines, pf's won't translate, maybe will stick with E61.
