Yes, that's what I mean. It's for people who don't want to be bothered with correct grinding and tamping.

Disassemble the filter, store away the hard plastic bits. Put the metal filter into the rubber gasket upside down, so you can cram more coffee in (this deLonghi filter is a bit small for a true double).

Reassemble and enjoy.

It's a bit more finicky to clean out the old coffee grounds but this combination is the best I've found for this machine.
