So all the changes Gaggia has made to the baskets they include with the Classic are very confusing. Instructions don't match what you get either. I bought new and received a standard double shot and 2 pressurized baskets, single and double. I have ordered a regular single shot. Not sure why they couldn't have just included that at their likely $2 cost on the item. Other than that all is good and latte art is coming along. There can never be enough regular daily activities that make me smile and I think I have just added one more. Looking for more beans to try out. My local Italian food shop carries Caffe Mauro, Aurora, Iona and Azzura. Anyone have any luck with any of those?

I believe that the North Americas get the standard double basket. I had a slip included that mentioned it and implied that only the pressurized baskets go elsewhere. UK/Euro posters have complained about pressurized only. As to the single basket, I get the impression that few use it. The double basket and dose seem more easily learned and adjusted.

Single shots seem fussier and I am in the PNW the land of the cramp the basket full and pull. So when in Rome, I do big doubles probably closer to Italian triples. 17.5 -20 gram range.

I suggest to get the regular double-shot basket as well, because it's much easier to handle that the single shot. As far as the single shot basket is concerned, I'd get a La Marzocco basket, the La Strada models are made by VST.

Thx. It came with a double shot basket ordered just the single. Not sure the manufacturer( just said standard single basket) but the place I ordered it from does sell the La Marzocco as well so if I'm not happy with the one I get that's good info.
