So I just started having a strange issue with my Astoria Compact that appears to be related to temperature. The short form is, if I remove the top cover from the machine, it works perfectly. If I install the top cover, the machine appears to be working properly (hot water wand works, steam valve works, all lights, etc. are on), but when I push the dosing button, it does not activate the pump. If I then remove the top, wait 15-20 minutes (for things to cool down due to air circulation I assume), then everything works fine.
Anyone have any ideas/suggestions as to what could be causing this issue? Any help is much appreciated
If it worked before and just started this, I would check all the wires for tightness and burn marks then start pricing pumps. Screws can work loose over time.

Thanks for the reply. I don't think the issue is with the pump since the hot water wand still works fine, and it uses the pump. I also checked all wires last night, no issues.
