Right now I have a single gang Nuovo Simonelli and am selling it with my house (hard plumbed, filter, etc.) and would like to buy a used single or two gang machine, however I have been out of the loop on what to buy for so long, I thought someone would take pity and help me. As far as cost, it would have to be less than $2K which would include shipping.

Sorry the machine is going with the house. Keep an eye out on the BST forum. Look at the local to you restaurant supply dealers, the used equipment dealers and lets not forget Craigs list. Used 2 gp machines are fairly common. Getting one at the price you want to spend may not be so common. If you can do work yourself, you will be able to buy a machine that could need a little help that others will shy away from, this helps with the price.
I bought a used 2 gp Brasilia for a 1 hour drive each way and $75. It is bone ugly and needs to be repainted and freshened up but the only thing wrong with it to keep it from working was the vacuum breaker was stuck open with dirt and it would not build pressure, for clear reasons.

I know this doesn't help much, but I've been thinking of getting an NS Mac just like yours and I'm wondering how you like it and if there's anything I should be aware of before taking the plunge, besides needing to plumb it in.

I have owned this machine since 1990 and have used it every day. Only had a couple of repairs in the whole time I owned it. Great machine. If I was buying a used one, I would have it gone over and all the calcified gummed up areas replaced. Having a whole house filter for the expressed purpose of this machine has been the reason, IMO, I have had so few repairs.

do you really think a new owner will even care that the machine is included? i would think in most cases the new owner may even just have it removed in favor of kitchen counter space.
taking it with you is not an option? cant just cut the pipe and take it with you(thinking all you need to do is cut the water, undo pipe and seal it)? i doubt you'll get too much better in your price range.
