I found a Nuova Simonelli Appia 1 Gr Auto on cl a few days ago. It's a restaraunt that evidently wants it gone because they had it for $500, I offered them $300 + shipping and they took it....my jaw hit the floor, so I began making preparations for runnig water lines, drain line, etc.

Then my wife lost her job....and then I discovered that the magnificent machine wouldn't fit anywhere in my kitchen...cabinets are too low and counters are almost too shallow....so the only thing I could do is buy it and then try to flip it on here or somewhere else.....but I won't do that. I'll give someone on here a chance of a lifetime to own a killer machine for fraction of the price. Call it an early xmas present...basically make them an offer, if you can drive to pick it up it'll save you quite a bit because it's over 100 lbs. They describe it as 2 years old and rarely used. The pics look great.

All I'll say (to add to the mystery) is it's in CA, not LA or San Diego or San Fran....happy hunting and whoever gets it should send me a picture of them enjoying it.

Cheers....(wiping away tears)

For anyone buying it I would make this a pickup only and pay after you see/pickup the item. Sounds to good to be true.  Why wouldnt they just put it on ebay and get what its worth?

A valid question indeed, prudence is always your best friend...myself, being very quick to trust people, would say it's a restaurant that either was recently purchased or about to be sold and they want it gone, or just want quick cash. Being over 100 lbs and the machine not being in a major CA city might make them uneasy about Ebay and trying to ship something of that weight to anyone in the world, although they did say they'd ship it to me....or maybe it's a big scam, I can't say.

I just looked at my emails and it appears to be a fitness center, so maybe they bought it and never use it and just want the counter space, I honestly don't know the details. I thought it was a restaraunt but the email address is a fitness center.

That's why you want to cry, right? Not because of the machine :)

if wife lost her job and money is tie, why don't YOU buy it and flip it over..
nothing wrong with that..
plus is very possible than whomever buy it as such a good price will do the same ;)

OK, I'll bite... anyone got a link? Did a google search on appia site:craigslist.org and didn't see anything in CA that fit. Tried other seaches using Nuova Simonelli instead of appia again with no good links. Already have a NS Mac 2000v 1 group and very happy with it. Curious why this one would be so low.

They took it down, but here's the link to the grinder...maybe they took it off because they thought I'd buy it...worth a shot.
