If you want stable and consistent temperature stability without having to do cooling flushes, you should be looking at a Dual Boiler machine. Unfortunately, for low volume, they're overkill. When I mean overkill, I mean, you're spending a lot of cash for something you'll only be using seldomly. If you are a purist and have no issues with that, then go for it.
There are a few entry level Dual Boiler machines on the market which would compare in price to a mid to high end HX machine. That's up to you I guess. I'd set a budget at least and run with that.
