maybe not TLEMIEB (the last expresso machine I'll ever buy), but enough to keep me going for a long while. I'm getting it configured to be plumbed in and getting the flojet so I can use a large bottle of water (until I can remodel my kitchen).
Also a Reg Barber tamper!
I talked with Mary there and she was most helpful.

You got it from the right place, Patti. Good luck with it. I thiink the the flowjet and 5 gal water bottle is a great option. Dan Kehn ran my S1 that way at the SCAA convention in Atlanta without a hitch.
Heh, heh. Very few TLEMIEBs are really the last one the owner will ever buy. Maybe it should be TLEMIE NEED TO BUY.
This morning I read the LM Linea reviews in the CoffeeGeek consumer reviews section. If there's a LEMIEB anywhere, that's IT. But the reviews contain criticisms which, if convincingly overcome by a new model, would almost certainly persuade at least one of the reviewers to upgrade. I note that one of the reviewers bought his LM Linea to replace a Wega Lyra, which is what I just purchased as TLEMIEB, er, I mean TLEMIENTB.

Patti,
It's excitin' for sure. Except for the RegBaber tamper, you have the same setup that I do.
The Flojet is like an "Eveready Bunny"...just keeps on pumpin'. It's also like tinkertoys to hook up to the Rituale. Chris gives you a John Guest connector that in seconds allows you to connect the hose from the Rituale to the input hose from the Flojet. The most time I spent was following the Flojet procedure for sanitizing the pump for 1st use. I have the 5gal bottle sitting where it's accessible and I can easily see the level. The Flojet also works with smaller drinking water bottles since the main tube slides up/down to accomodate different bottle depths. I like the 5gal setup for less filling activity.
Make sure to follow Chris's included startup procedure for the machine which is easy to do. The Rituale looks bigger (better) in person than in the photos and you'll get to say "hello" in a few days! I'm heading down to pull a few shots on mine right now. My 84yr old Mother-in-law really looks forward to her Americano each evening. It's a great machine that's fun to use...congrats!
But I've got to ask... why the Flojet? The Rituale has a vibration pump and it can draw water easily from a jug. That's how I ran Valentina for the first month or so. Unless of course you got the "float system" (?). Some members love them but I would just as well go with the direct connect. If you want to go touring, you can always use a water jug. No refilling, no cleaning the tank, no slime build up.
Talked w/Chris' service dept. They say that though the vibration pump machine *will* draw water by itself, they always recommend the demand pump (Flojet) because it helps fill the machine faster.
I know that after I remodel, I will not need the Flojet, but who knows how soon I'll afford that (especially if I keep hanging around here and ya'll make me want something else new and expensive).
