I have a line on a Super Jolly for a good price. If that doesn't pan out, I'm considering the Vario. I'd like to be able to (relatively) easily switch to a coarser grind for French Press and drip.

The responses we've gotten from various vendors have led me to believe that what I'm seeing isn't totally out of whack. Like I said, I'm happy to be wrong about that. Though, I'm starting to bond with the Silvano. Seems like it does everything I need, is fairly forgiving for a noob, and is nicely priced (though, it was nicelier priced a year ago).

I'm pretty well set on either the Quick Mill Silvano or the La Nuovo Era Cuadra I. I should have mentioned that ease of use is paramount. My wife is good at steps, but not great at adjusting on the fly. In that regard, the Silvano might be the ticket.
