For a timer, check the Amertac TEO5W out. I bought one and it worked so well I bought another I keep as a backup. A surge suppressor will work fine if plugged into the timer.

Yogesh, The CC1 was designed to be used on a timer. There is a 60 second dely (after timer turn on) for the CPU to boot and all sensors to become active before it starts. As long as your timer meets the specs of the CC1 then you are OK.
The boiler on the CC1 will remain full at all times. If you use the steam function alot (all drinks) then it is a good idea to prime the steam boiler once in a while. Just open the steam valve while in the brew mode until water comes through the stem wand.

Another question about CC1. The GEE I had has a default setup 45 seconds for double shot. Correct me if I am mistaken, I always thought the pour/brew time for double shot will be exactly the same as single shot.
I wonder what is the default for CC1 or anyone has notice the brew time setting.

im having a problem putting the pf back into the group head after i ran a shot. it is so hard to turn and lock the pf in the group. i think the gasket expand quite a bit from warm temp. is it suppose to be like that

bure82, The gasket should not expand at all. Can you look under the group to see if there is anything obstructing the area? If the portafilter is empty it should nto be hard to put it back in.

i brew a shot...dump the puck and try to put the pf back in but it wouldnt even lock in so i really have to force it in (which i worry about) to get the handle back close to the center. I brush the group after i brew my shot so it should be pretty clean under

my filter never goes back to the center...its gets close and I can force it to the center if I want, but a few degrees off center is tight enough for it to function like it should

how far does your go to...when i first got the machine, the handle goes pretty close to the center of the machine....after i brew i have to use a lot of force to make it even lock in...one time i didnt close it enough and it started to leak when i brew

mine has not gotten tighter, it has always felt the same...the position in the picture is about as tight as the filter ever needs to go
possibly your basket has too much of a dose in it? One time I did a fine grind, tapped my filter on the countertop a few times to settle the grinds, and then leveled off and tamped...end result was way too much coffee in the filter and I managed to lock the filter in the brewhead (barely) but it was so tight b/c the puck was being pushed up against the screen in the brewhead...the more i turned the filter the more resistance I got from the puck being pushed up into the screen.
