Posted Tue Dec 25, 2012, 10:33am Subject: Gaggia Platinum Vogue - Can't brew after descaling! HELP!
I descaled my machine by the book for the first time after 1 year of operating the machine.
The steam spout and hot water function work perfectly. When I go to brew, it grinds the coffee, presses it appropriately and then when it sounds like it is about to flow water through, the pump sound sort of tapers off and then it just stops and dumps semi-dry grounds into the grounds drawer.
I have a feeling the descaling solution got trapped up in the brew group or something but I don't have the appropriate tools to take it apart.
Anyone have any experience with this or any idea how I can try to fix without disassembly?
